"The Treasury
of David" The Treasury of David is the preacher's commentary on the Book of Psalms. Each Psalm (or section thereof) begins with Spurgeon's own clear and pastoral exposition and then offers sermon outlines and other hints to help men preach it. Unlike some other classics, these books are not only displayed on the pastor's bookshelf, they're used! The Treasury was first published in weekly installments over a twenty-year span in the London Metropolitan Tabernacle's periodical, The Sword and the Trowel. As each section was completed, it was published as a volume until the final volume was released in 1885 |
