"Stepping Stones" was written a Bible study guide to include the history of the church and doctrine.  It was written for the new Christians so that they may establish their beliefs and grow in the grace of God.  Jeffery show Christ to the new believers as the Apostles saw him in the early church.  There are a large number of quotations, which gives the reader a chance to get acquainted with many of the great theologians of old.
